PayPal offers buttons that can be used to sell products or collect donations through your website.
Before PayPal buttons can be added to your site, you will need to set up a Business PayPal account using these steps.
- Visit the PayPal website and click the Sign-Up button in the top-right corner.
- Select the Business Account option and click Next.
- Enter your email address, and click Next. This will be the email address that is notified when someone makes a purchase.
- Depending on your type of business, you will select Yes or No under Will This Account be Used for a Registered Business? For example, if you have an LLC then you would select Yes. If you do not, then select No. This is important for tax purposes, so if you're not sure we recommend contacting PayPal support to ensure business qualifies for the correct designation.
- Set your password, and then click Next.
- Enter in your name, phone, address and other required info, and then click the checkbox to Accept Terms. Click on Agree and Create Account.
- Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to you by PayPal. This will go to the email address you used in Step 3.
